The Wellcraft 290 coastal is a well-regarded outboard powered fisherman with a cruising style interior and a large fishing cockpit. Dual-purpose boats like this have long been popular with active families who like to mix fishing and cruising, and with her wide 10’, 5” beam and generous cockpit, the Coastal provides an excellent platform for both activities. Built on a solid fiberglass deep V hull, the mid cabin interior of the 290 is arranged with a convertible dinette/V berth forward, a compact galley and head, and a midcabin lounge/birth. Note, the V berth backrests swing up to form 2 pilot berths. Check the view from the tuna tower with full controls. Great visibility for docking or on the lookout for fish. On deck the elevated bridge deck is fitted with a baitwell and tackle storage as well as a double wide helm seat and a companion seat to port. In the middle of the cockpit is an additional Blue Water bait tank (plenty of bait for your long fishing trips). In the cockpit, a pair of insulated fish boxes are located just forward of the transom. Additional features include cockpit bolsters, transom door, wide side deck, bow pulpit, and a large in-deck storage box. Twin 225HP outboards cruise the 290 Coastal in the mid 20’s and reach a top speed of 35+ knots
